Marianna Crosetto

Language mediation, correspondence

Marianna was born in 1981 in the province of Turin, Italy, where she still lives.

She has always been interested in foreign languages and cultures. Such interest led her first to get her diploma at a Language High School and afterwards she went on with her studies at the faculty of Foreign Languages and Literatures at the University of Turin. She achieved her university degree in 2006, with a dissertation titled “Singaporean English: a corpus-based approach”.

In 2003 she went to Berlin for the first time and she totally fell in love with the city. This was only the first of endless trips to the German capital, which bond Marianna more and more to the city and its inhabitants.

The passion for Germany and German language has allowed Marianna to start some stimulating collaboration, among those, the one with the photo artist Sarah Burdelak for the project “Prospettive Mira Lago”.

Further to her daily job in the import-export field, Marianna works on her personal blog, in which she deals with topics like travelling, underground music, readings and dark subculture.

Since October 2014 she has been one of the employees of the online magazine Berlino Cacio e Pepe.

Marianna is Italian native Italian speaker and furthermore speaks English, German, French and Spanish.
